AllianceBernstein hires Bob Sharma as Head of Insurance, EMEA & APAC

AllianceBernstein L.P. (AB), the global investment firm, has appointed Bob Sharma as Head of Insurance, EMEA & APAC, Client Group, where he will be based in the company’s London office.

An experienced veteran across the sector, Sharma joins AB with over 25 years of expertise in various asset management roles.

He joins the organisation from Wellington Management where he has been for almost two decades. During his time at the firm, he served as Head of EMEA Insurance.

In addition, Sharma has also previously worked at State Street Global Advisers, Abbey National and Tower Trust Asset Management.

In his new role, Sharma is expected to oversee AB’s strategic relationships with insurance clients in the regions.

This will allow him to work closely with a variety of different teams within AB, including product development, insurance portfolio management, and insurance solutions to address client needs.
