Baker Tilly International’s UK member firm MHA has appointed Ahmer Khan as the new head of Insurance.
In addition, Khan will head the financial services practice for Baker Tilly Ireland.
With More than 20 years of experience in assurance and consulting, he brings expertise in insurance, banking, asset management, and capital markets to his new role.
Khan will cater to financial services clients in the UK and Ireland.
He will lead the UK insurance practice and oversee UK banking audit clients, while being responsible for handling insurance, asset management, and capital market clients in Ireland.
Before joining MHA, Khan had a 13-year stint at EY Ireland.

During his tenure at EY Ireland, he led audit, and consulting projects for clients, including insurers, banks, and asset managers.

Prior to EY, he worked for 12 years at KPMG across Jersey, Dublin, and London.
His expertise includes technical accounting, corporate governance, and complex investment valuations.
Khan is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland.
He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Dublin City University.
